When I got my first private office in industry, there was a

thicker than normal, very heavy light tan plastic briefcase leftover on the bookshelf in that office. At least I thought that's what it was, until I finally pulled it off the shelf and looked at it.
Turns out, it was a COMPAQ "laptop"? Must have been one of the first ever. It weighed a ton, and the actual screen, when you opened it up, was only about 10"x 12" maybe. I wish I had kept it, I bet it would be worth something as a real antique now.
