Game thoughts-Be patient

Sep 6, 2022, 12:12 AM

QB-obviously this will be the talk all week. DJ threw it well in the second half. Cade indeed looked like DW. This will play out. We have the schedule to let it play out. If Cade does win the job, I'd like DJ to hang around instead of bolting like KB did. You never know when we might need him. If DJ can keep the job we're in high cotton.

Miller-struggled in his first game. He'll learn a ton from it.

Williams and Randall will be starters sooner rather than later.

KJ Henry is going to have a monster year. So is Breese.

Our LB's are insanely fast.

OL got better in the second half. No big run plays but some good 8-10 yarders. Putnam had a few poor snaps, his first start at center. Parks first start at G. They will improve quickly.

Swanson really punted well.

Two blocked punts! Up the middle! Great special teams tonight.

Dabo knows what he's doing and will make any moves that are necessary, when needed. Some of y'all are dumb to think he won't. But timing is important. I'm confident he knows what he's doing.

I'll take 41-10 on the road in the opener

I for one am glad you are stopping. You are one of the most ignorant posters ever. You obviously think very highly of your own opinion, unlike the rest of us - RockHillTiger

The first 35 minutes were a struggle and it was only a 7 point game.

The crazy pitch to Shipley saved the drive. Imagine that pitch get's snagged by a linebacker and goes for 6 the other way. When I saw him start to make that move with people wrapped all over him I was thinking "no, no, NO! YES YES YES!" I'm so glad it turned out well. But that was not a pretty game.

Yes the last quarter + we poured it on. They lost their best defender and our conditioning showed.

But I have to agree that - despite the win and final score - that it was ugly for most of the game.

“Clemson wasn’t that much better with Trevor Lawrence, if at all.”

I seem to remember you defending DJ and the offense even during that game last year.

First game of the year. Got a feeling DJ will have a good year. He started looking more comfortable as the game progressed. Really would have like to see a little fight in our border receivers but the cbs for tech are really tall. On another note, klubnik.is the future. That throw to swinney down in the the red zone around the 3 yd line was an NFL throw.

To Shipley seemed to allow him to settle in

He threw some dimes after that

Yes. That really seemed to get him going.

I really think we need to roll DJ out of the pocket. It helps cover issues on the OL and it sure seems like he throws better on the run than he does standing in the pocket.

We don’t let DJ roll out of anything. DK isn’t that mobile or fast. He trips on his own feet running strait ahead at times.

Not disagreeing, but that works best when the QB

can tuck it and burn you with his legs. That's not DJ. It is however Cade, and we saw two rollouts with him in there.

DJ did make a nice drift from pressure in the pocket on the TD to Collins
