I don't post much, as you can tell. With that being said, if Clemson was in same situation this year at 13-0 would we be one of the 4 best teams just because we would have won the ACC? I think the committee got it right, based on the 4 best teams get in, agree or disagree? Before you flame, yes I am Tiger, born and raised. I know that Power 5 holds a ton of weight, but so does who you play, how you win, and availability of players on the parameters set forth by CFP.

Granted, he was a unique breed of incredible, Lawrence was a backup in 2018. Obviously, he played in half the games that season as a starter, but it still happened. Rodemaker would’ve been back for the playoffs, they just had to play the third string, who had no live reps in game, for one game, and they found a way to win.

Yes, we would be one of the four best teams until PROVEN otherwise. You can’t just eliminate a team because you *think* they can’t win. You give them the opportunity to prove it.
For the record I don’t believe FSU would win a NC. But again, being UNDEFEATED, I #### sure believe they should be given a shot to prove it.

They played LSU and UF, 2 sec teams. What more can they do? Texas lost to oklahoma, its so hard to actually finish undefeated. Debate should be Alabama vs Texas, undefeated conf champ goes

The Michigan football team wanted to play FSU after what they saw Saturday

night. There was weeping and gnashing of teeth throughout the team when Alabama and not FSU was revealed to be their opponent. That was a painfully ugly boring game to try to watch.
No matter who they chose, there would be hurt feelings. The committee got it right.

All the committee had to do is look at the common opponent. LSU FSU 45/LSU 24 that's a 21 point difference. Bama 42/LSU 28 whereas this was only 14 points. I can guarantee that FSU may not have as good of an offense now with Jordan but their defense is a lot better now compared to when they faced LSU. Heck it's better than the defense we faced.

College FB is nothing even close to being the NFL, these are college kids playing their hearts out to EARN what they get, the FSU team earned their way into the playoffs, and you just don't club the entire team bc of one player being injured. In amateur sports you are rewarded as a team!!!

Thank you for you perspectives, I get each of the responses, just tryin to wrap my head around where we go from here as football fans. The same situations happen at all levels of football, just trying to understand the thought process of everyone.

This all could have been avoided last week if the same CFP committee put FSU outside of the top 4. I understand FSU isn't the same team without Jordan Travis. I get that. The fact that the committee put 2 one loss teams over an undefeated FSU who was at #4. The committee did this to themselves. I think the biggest travesty yesterday is UGA dropping to 6 from 1st in a 27-24 game.

Louisville loosing to KY might have kept FSU out.

I think this is a snub at the ACC when you allow two one loss teams in from other conferences and not an undefeated ACC champion. Will this lower the appeal of FSU and Clemson to other conferences in respect to any possible realignment?

Even if Jordan Travis was healthy, it was questionable that FSU gets in over

Alabama. I think the injury provided an excuse that they could deflect criticism. Alabama in with JT healthy would have caused more turmoil but I’m convinced that any of the talking heads would have said who would you choose in a head to head and Alabama would get the majority vote from those guys.

I'm not sure if you are right. We fairly recently won two national championships, both against Alabama. They may have subconsciously select us over Bama. But I do think they got it right.
