May 19, 2012, 11:52 AM

not exactly sure of timeline yet

"I've been working since I was 15 continually until now. I worked 40 hours a week at 15, when it wasn't even legal for 15 year olds to work that many hours."

They have to just to be part of the new Big 4 even if money

May 19, 2012, 12:02 PM

is flat. Again, this went from the luxery of a money analysis to now a game of survival. Throw the charts and spreadsheets away, your hand has now been forced.

agreed....on a FSU board and here are the $'s being floated

May 19, 2012, 12:03 PM

around...

I think the Big12 contract will come in at 21-22 million a per year per team. If the Big12 gets FSU and Clemson then it will go to 23-24 million. Add a CCG and it will jump to 25-26 million a year. Then you can sell your 3rd tier rights and FSU will prolly get around 7 million. Now we are talking 32-33 million a year. That's before the BCS playoff payouts to the conferences and this new Big12 vs SEC Bowl game which they will own all the rights too. Your looking at a minimum of 32-33 million in the Big12 to 14-19.6 million in the ACC. Travel Expense is reimbursed by the Big12 I Believe. It's also rumored that in the new contract if the Big12 were to expand to 13 teams or more then they can re-enter negotiations with ESPN for a new one giving them first right of refusal.

this is getting serious real fast. That is, as someone mentioned yesterday...jaw dropping money.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

this is getting serious real fast.NO it isn't

May 19, 2012, 12:17 PM

Right now it's mere lay people with no inside info talking about it. Even the YT clown has claimed "sources" from 4-6 different universities spread out over several conferences.

While we might wake up tomorrow and see 6 ACC teams jump to another conference, right now all you have is a couple of idiots visiting several different message boards running back to TNet posting it as REAL super secret inside info.

York has only claimed sources from OU and OSU....

May 19, 2012, 12:22 PM

which I believe he has based upon his location and profession.

It may not happen, but it's clearly being discussed. All signs appear to back this up. Even what has been said (and not said) by FSU, Clemson, and the ACC back up that it is at least being discussed.

sooner than later i hope, but it's gonna happen.

please stop with the busta move, in principle, don't know when, but anything could happen when money and power is on the line stuff yorkie.

York, despite the naysayers, I'm with you here...

May 19, 2012, 12:23 PM

I'm sure I'm following the same source(s) you are in the Twitterverse, and I believe all of this is starting to move fast and furious. FSU is a lock to the B12...it's just a matter of time. My only concern is that we might not be #12...that it might fall to VT, GT, or the U.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

i'm no naysayer, i just hate when my cleos come

May 19, 2012, 12:27 PM
