Writer said they had a chance to beat Clemson in both 2015 and 2016 ... no bruh . .. no ya didn't .
FSU hiring Willie Taggart is only an incrementally better hire than when the Coots hired Sparky.
They're cooked ... and they can't see past their past to understand that they've been passed .

Give 'em some credit... they did have a shot. Both years were under very good Jimbo squads. Both 10 wins and one was ranked 14th and the other 8th.
Tied 13-13 interning the 4th in 15. Dalvin Cook ran for 200 years on his own. They had two TO on downs in our half of the field (but outside the redzone).
After jumping out on the early, we were trailing 28-20 and needed 17 points in the 4th to hold them off. Worse, they were up 5 points with 3 minute to go we needed some Watson/Leggett magic. THAT was the game that BROKE jimbo/fsu as being the "power" in the Atlantic.
Realistically, FSU was the better all-round "recruited" team. We were the better "developed' team.

I was at the 2015 game . They won the first quarter. We were the better team that night on both sides of the ball . Yes , Cook was very good but after the first quarter they struggled in all facets .
2016 was Leggetts late game heroics in Tally . They did have a good chance that night I admit , but we were still the better team on that field .

2015 was the turning point in our rivalry with FSU, and it was the beginning of our 4 straight wins against FSU home and away games. This year will be fear the thumb game for FSU at Clemson, and I'm pretty confident they will feel the same pain that the coots felt on the same field in Clemson's Death Valley where we love chopping off the thumbs!!! Go Tigerssss in the fear the thumb game against the FSU brave's, we will handle them in DV like we were playing against their Squaw's!!!

I agree that the better team won... we had a more complete game but took forever to wake up. Because we could have been down 14 early to FSU when they could just run the ball... that would have been a different game.
The 2015 game just saw the offense fizzle on good drives without points. But that was Watson and Co dynamic as well at times. On the other hand both D did their part and despite having more rushing yards than FSU, FSU had the better talent but Clemson just had a better QB - the key in the end.
But if you looked at FSU's "recruiting" rankings in 247, they were ACC #1 from 2010-2017, with # 4, #8, #1 & #3 in Jimbos last year. Dabo was often #3 if not #4 in the ACC with the 2015 kids. However, it tells the tale that development + talent wins over recruiting. FSU was winning in the paper stars group. If they had found a QB, they could have just kept on winning in the post Winston years... as ti was the same basic team defensively.

What they aren't taking into consideration is that, top 10 to 15 classes is what had when our coaching staff had to work really hard in developing those recruits into playing near or at the top of college FB. It isn't easy, and you have to have the coaches that are willing to work their butts off and putting in the extra time of how to schedule the little bit of time that they can spend with player in practice, and that is what has separated Dabo"s coaching staff from all the others. They were willing to work their hardest to build a winner that the best recruits want to commit to and be a part of. As Dabo has said many many times, is that hard work pays off if you are doing it the right way and he has proved his theory works, and now that we are pulling in the best of the best, our coaches don't have to work as hard now bc they have already put in all the hard work that it takes to get where we are now. And now, they are living with the rewards that the daily grind has rewarded them with. It isn't all that hard to understand, it's called working the cream to the top as they have done. Now others want to call it cheating, News flash, hard work has nothing remotely close to cheating, it's called working for what you want the most, and championships is what our coaches wanted the most!!!! Goooo Tigersss!!!

They don't make enough 5*'s to help FSU win. Taggart's seat is going to get even hotter if he doesn't figure out how to coach pretty soon.

I like how the writer claims the main difference is QB play...ummmmm...what? DW4, TL and anyone else behind that ghastly FSU O-line would be getting the crap beat out of them like Francois. So no, it's more than just the QBs.
