Not a particular thrilling list of road games.

Louisville prob most interesting bc it's new, lots of bourbon distilleries in area, and probably will have the best game day atmosphere of the games listed.

Every other year not an exciting home lineup except for the dirtpeckers.

How crazy is it that the Carrier Dome is named for an a/c company and isn't air conditioned.

I've never been to Carter Finley but ive always had somewhat a bad experience when going to Clemson vs ncst games in DV. Maybe its just the ones I've encountered, idk.

Been to NC State several times

It is not on campus; I've seen a win and a couple of losses; haven't had any problem with the fans. It is a nice, but small (compared to DV) stadium, and the parking is iffy.

Since Maryland has left the ACC, NC State takes over as rudest fans in the conference. I live 13 miles from Carte-Finley and go to Clemson game every time and have yet to make it through game without being verbally attacked. One year it was a 65 year old lady. lol

The home side of the stadium has an impressive tower of luxury suites for donors, but most visitors will never see inside them. The concessions and restrooms, etc. on the home side are fairly nice, but the remainder of the stadium is below average in pretty much every respect.

Nikki- Louisville should be number 1 on your list

I have been to Louisville several times for work and I have family in the Syracuse area and been there many times. Louisville wins hands down. The people are generally friendly. Also, 4th Street in downtown is very similar to Main Street in downtown Greenville or like Broadway in Nashville. Don't get a hotel just because it is best the stadium as it is definitely not the best part of town. There is an embassy suites, a Hilton and a Hyatt right on 4th Street and on Thursday they have 4th Street Live. If you are a baseball fan the Louisville Slugger Museum and factory to tour which is really cool. There is also the Urban Bourbon Trail where you can visit Louisville distilleries by Even Williams, Jack Daniels, Jim Beam and others.

Louisville - side trip to Chicago
Aug 1, 2015, 1:56 AM
|
|
I highly recommend a trip to Chicago if you've never been. We are planning to fly into Louisville Thursday and then drive to Chicago for the weekend. Chicago is only a 4 1/2 hour drive and generally the flights coming back from Chicago are cheaper than coming back from Louisville. The Cubs and the Bears have home games that weekend.
