if you have to transfer to three or four different schools (each one lower on the relevance scale than the one before) in order to finally land a starting position, perhaps (just maybe) it's time to come to realization that football may not be the career path on which you should be focusing.

Georgia Tech and UMass are both good schools to graduate from. He's also from neighboring Connecticut. A degree from UMass might help him more up there than a degree from Clemson or Georgia Tech would. I think his career will be fine.
