"Days after the Longhorns' last game against Kansas State, Sarkisian said he would be taking a look at the quarterback position.
'I think we have to open that job back up,' he said.
This week, former five-star recruit Quinn Ewers, who spent his freshman year at Ohio State, announced he was transferring to Texas.
Sarkisian also signed Maalik Murphy, a four-star quarterback recruit from California, on Wednesday."

Why would you call ewers a quitter? Because he wants to play? He isn't going to get a chance to play at osu....I'd leave to...
Who wants to spend years ok the bench that you can never get back when you are good enough to play elsewhere?
Was chase brice a quitter?
Yall are completely unreasonable when it comes to these college football players...
These are kids that have a 4 year window max to enjoy college football, they want to maximize that experience

Also, if Quinn was so great, he would beat out the others. Maybe he is not the best QB in the country if he could not hack the depth chart at OSU.

Leader in swindling money away before even taking a snap in college. He left HS early once NIL was free game. Got whatever he did to go to ohio state and is now bolting for greener pastures in Texas.

I love the crazy fact how the conference leader in TD passes is leaving the team to be replaced by a guy who never played since his junior year of high school and has been paid 5 million in NIL so far. #### is just getting crazy.

situation we had entering this year. Entering this year DJ was "projected" as a star who likely would be leaving for the NFL after 2022. You bring in a stud like Klubnick to play a good bit as a freshman then takeover.
Our current situation also works as DJ clearly wasn't a stud and Klubnick sees immediate opportunity
