For those that enjoy a little wager

Feb 4, 2017, 8:50 AM

Closed my 5 dimes account last week because all I do is College Football. Did OK last year and didn't want to let it just sit. Got a text yesterday about my $800 purchase of Bit Coins???? Have heard of them, but have no real knowledge of what they are used for. Thank goodness my card company monitors my account. Just a word of warning!!

I would wager online, but I don't trust the sites with my credit card/personal ID

Made a grand last year using Bovada.com ...

When I closed my account I received the check within 6 weeks ... no problems here

Bit Coin is internet "currency "

You have to go through a broker to buy them. Converting $US to bit coin will typically cost around 2%. The advantage is you can make purchases or gamble without any tax burden.

You definitely have a tax burden for transactions made with BitCoin. I think what you may have meant is ... you most likely won't be subject to 1099 reporting so the IRS doesn't know that you have that income to report, but you are required to report all of your income on a tax return.
