For perspective...it will be 1,099 days since we last

played a football game that was "meaningless" in terms of potential National Championship implications.
Our last "meaningless" football game was played December 29th, 2014 in the Russell Athletic Bowl (the Cole Stout Redemption Tour).
Since that date, every game we have played had College Football playoff implications...making the games "meaningful". That number will reach 1,099 when we kick off vs. Bama in New Orleans. If we beat Bama, that number will extend to 1,106 days when we play for the National Championship.
I say all that to say. Think about the times we have "played out the string" in the regular season and bowl games when the games, other than pride for program, meant very little.
Think of all the teams right now playing in bowl games that mean very little...other than pride for program.
Think of all of that and be thankful. Over 1,000 days of football with aspirations of something great.
What a time to be a Clemson Tiger.

Wouldn’t that number be indefinitely extended into next year no matter the outcome of the Alabama game? Even if Clemson loses (shut that ##### mouth), their next game will still have national championship implications.

meaningful in terms of next year's playoff. Heck , that number might grow to a very much bigger total before we have a game that isn't meaningful in those terms. But, to me, every game we play is meaningful as a Tiger fan.

And makes me think, man how awful will it be if we ever have to return to one of those garbage bowls. Guess we just have to never do that. That’s a reasonable expectation right ?

There's this dude close to the program that says if you don't dream it, it can't happen. So, yeah...it's reasonable...
