Looking at future schedules

Jan 3, 2017, 1:04 AM

With the exception of years in which we play Norte Dame, why can't we make it an annual rivalry to play UGA instead of some other non-conf opponents (aTm specifically)? With strength of ached becoming increasingly important I hope the AD gives this some consideration.

Scheduling UGA has to be a 2 way street.***

I understand the appeal of Georgia, but like the chance to expand our recruiting footprint with games like Texas A&M

every year.

Secondly, the ACC(Clemson/FSU)has proven in the playoff era that that SOS BS is just that, BS.

My point is that BOTH ADs should make it happen - not a unilateral decision on our behalf -

Didn't realize it was UGA that pulled the plug on it - if so it appears these days it's their loss moreso than ours - just sayin' its a great rivalry that should be continually re-kindled.

However, not sure i understand your comment about FSU/CU and SOS BS - ? Clarification?

So how does that work? Do we just inform Georgia we intend to just start playing them every year? They cancelled the series when it ceased being an automatic "W" for UGA. I don't think it will every return to that.

It would happen by coordination b/w the ADs ...

The nationally televised programs in prime time could, and would, benefit both programs - honestly, looking back to the opener in 2013 (on the heels of our 2012 Bowl win over LSU) was the beginning of our current mega recruiting successes in GA.

If we play OOC SEC, make it in our closest footprint, GA, TN. Texas recruiting is going to return to the Longhorns under Herman - just sayin'
