This is what I like to see. Builds an aspect of team if you ask me. Offense vs. Defense, rooting for your side to win it. Brings about some nastiness. Oh, and that practice facility looks amazing. Go Tigers!!!

The practice field has already been well used since it opening just a short time ago. That was well spent money!!!

one of these vids? This is what us "bashers" have been praying for. I loved everything about that video. Competitive, relentless, team-building, guys jumping around and celebrating....everything.

Amen brother, this is what I was b!tching about last year. I will be the first to admit this is good to see and I think our team will be better for it. Everyone can adapt and I like what our coaching staff is doing. Big things are coming boys.

But, to be critical of practices last year (assuming you weren't in attendance) is senseless. How do you know what was done during practice.
We know OK drill that brings the intensity and we also know that was done based on multiple videos posted throughout last year.
However, I like this (especially for the O Lineman & D Lineman) drill just as much, even more in some ways. Just as intense and less chance of getting hurt than the OK drill. Not to mention the team camaraderie & toughness it builds. The other thing this does, it gives them something new. Part of coaching is finding new ways to challenge the guys and this one does just that.

No we did not do this drill last year or any years before.

All insider returns are that this drill is a direct result of the Paul Hogan hire ( http://www.clemsontigers.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=28500&ATCLID=205530769 ).
And probably a result of the USCjr video that came out last year of them doing this very same drill.
This was our video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cXzE-XTESFk (just check some of the comments at the bottom about poor form, softness, etc.) Courtesy of Joey Barbell.
This was theirs: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cXzE-XTESFk - Courtesy of the S&C program that was implemented by the coots starting before the 2009 season (Coincidence that they've whipped our @sses by double digits every year since then? You be the judge.)
Notice a difference? Lol.
Hiring former Alabama player Paul Hogan to assist in S&C is the best thing that Batson has going for him. Thank goodness Hogan is trying to modernize some of Batson's methods to SOME degree, because Batson won't do it himself.

Sorry but this drill has been used at Mat drills ever since Dabo became the head coach. I worked for the team during that transition and it was a new drill then.
