Perhaps he is wrong but if I am a player in position to be drafted among the first few players with a chance to sign a multi million dollar contract I'm going to keep my nose EXTRA clean until I sign that contract! It was 4:00 in the afternoon and he was grabbing a bite to eat. It's not like it was 1:00 in the a.m. and threatening to shoot up the joint with an AK.

Deshaun was visiting a friend and her family. He didn't go to Tuscaloosa just to visit that bar. Probably, DW and company decided to go out, and perhaps this bar was mentioned. He had no idea that there were neanderthals hovering around there; 'Cryin' Ryan Anderson, for example.
It's a free country, and DW can go where he wants. He DID the right thing, he left, and that makes him a better man than most. And I am proud of him.
I rank Skip Bayless right up there with Colin Cowherd. Neither have enough sense to get out of the rain! Shame on them!
Yes, Deshaun DID beat Alabama again!

That is like saying that nobody affiliated with Clemson as an employee, player, or fans wearing Clemson gear, has no rights in visiting a business establishments in Tuscaloosa without fear of harassment or bodily harm. Just bc Clemson FB team beat Bama in FB, it don't make us give up out right to visit a business in Alabama, and nobody has the right to revoke out rights either. Those bar/restaurant owners are liable to protect the rights of any and every body that visits their business establishment. DW4 should sue the crap out of them. It was the bar/restaurant owners/management responsibility to defuse the situation even if they had to ask the aggressor to leave or have them thrown out!!! It is DW4's right as an American citizen to have the protection of the law to visit any business in America unmolested, including, in Tuscaloosa, AL!!!
After this incident has gotten blown up in the public media as it has, DW4 should sue, and he would win in the federal court. Classic case that the bar/restaurant owners/management done nothing to protect DW4's rights as a citizen of the USA. Just bc they didn't ask him to leave, they done nothing in stopping the harassment/threats toward DW4 by a third party, and they are 100% liable for his protection while inside of their business or on their property while witnessing the harassment/threats toward DW4.

Did Watson have friends at Bama or did he just decide to stop at a place to eat within a mile of the campus? He should have not been harassed but just curious why he decided to go there instead of a place not so close to campus. If someone left Greenville headed for Alabama and they were a former player of bama would they just stop at the esso to eat or go somewhere else.

Not many schools can compare with the exemplary Class presented by Clemson University. I believe that Clemson is second to none when it comes to the way Clemson University expresses it's self with Class within the entire university, and it reflects back on the city of Clemson... Something that the university of Alabama and Tuscaloosa knows nothing about!!!

He was coming back from New Orleans after receiving the Manning Award. He apparently has friends/girlfriend there, one of whom was celebrating a birthday. So, it would appear that he was:
1) Already passing through on his way back home
2) Had a good reason to be there for a friends birthday
Bayless of course has done no research on it and just says the first idiotic thing that popped into his head.

DW4 may have thought that the bar where college fans and players go at Bama, was something like the Esso club at Clemson. Where All fans and players from any team would be 100% welcomed and safe from threats and harassment. Maybe that was his biggest mistake, confusing Bama fans and players with having class and morals about themselves!!! Wrong DW4, remember saying that Clemson was very special, and that is why you committed to Clemson. The biggest thing that has changed, is how nice the Bama fans and players were to you before you chose Clemson. Fake people are like a "light switch", their attitudes will flip on and off just as easy, Bama fans and players are the perfect example here!!!

DW4 Is a fine man! Period! End of story! The fact that he went into a restaurant that serves alcohol is of no relevance (almost all restaurants nowadays serve alcohol (it's how they attract people, remain profitable and stay in business). The issue wasn't that DW4 was there. It was how, for no good reason, he was treated by some (probably, a very few) low life Alabama fans.
