Fast paced offenses can beat S.E.C. teams

A&M proved that this season. However, you have to protect the quarterback, and a 6'3 L.T. with short arms and a lumbering R.T. with slow feet will not get the job done against good D.E.'s. Clowney had his pick of outmatched guys to rush against, and they moved him around to keep him from being chipped. Strange that we really didn't run any screens or draws to try an slow down the rush...then again, if we ran a draw Clowney might have taken the handoff.

Defenses win games, that is why the SEC is so strong.

A&M walked into Bama and beat them with a decent defense

However the A&M secondary, while not great, can catch the ball. A&M is great on offense and takes the game over with the offense. Clemson can't do that because we can't protect the quarterback and they have no experience against good defenses.

Stop it with your SEC ####. Your offenses just suck so bad it makes your defense look good. Also it is nice to be able to lose at any time to a team in your conference and never drop out of the top 10.

You mean the sucky offense with backup qb and running back that hung 27 on you or the sucky Fl offense that laid 37 on FSU at Fsu, or the sucky UGA offense that could have scored as many as they wanted but stopped at 42 or even the sucky Wake offense that laid 55 on Wake at Wake?
I think what was cleared up yesterday was again your offense looks great against ###### defenses but can't seem to handle a good defense.
Your offense is what it is, you have skill players better than everyone's in your conference but when put on field with comparable athletes they don't seem to fair as well. Did Watkins play?

Yep that would be the ones. All those teams you named including FSU are overrated as well as us. Your conference ain't all it thinks it is pal.

You keep thinking that pal, you are a .500 team in our conference at best!! You beat Auburn by 7, they didn't win a game.
If SEC ain't all that, who is better? Wem just beat you with a backup qb and rb, you think we go on road in SEC and do that?
Hey, congrats on 10-2, now celebrate your Ball St victory.

There may be 2 to 3 teams in the SEC who COULD be all that ,but your pathetic ##### ain't one of them. Besides your conference doesn't play in the title game. ONE TEAM from your conference does.

defenses that are fundamentally sound

don't arm tackle, MAKE THE PICK when it hits them in the hands, and play defense with an offensive mentality that says the football and the ball carrier is MINE....our DB's have minimal ball skills and field awareness and are not instinctive....our DL and LB's are on the rise and there is some depth there....our DB's have got to drastically improve.....it's becoming an epidemic problem back there...the interference calls were a joke but the picks that were dropped cannot happen....you have GOT to make those plays. If you make those types of plays our offense could shred any defense because the pedal would stay to the metal all night long and momentum would never shift.
