Guy I work with daughter goes to NC State and went to the game. Said men were in her face and threatening/cussing at her and stuff. Don’t know her but the guy is a great guy. Told him there’s no love between the two and it’s basically a rivalry game probably the biggest for us in the acc. Hate somebody would do a girl like this if true. Told him I wouldn’t recommend her traveling to that game though with it being so heated between the two coaches/school/&fans it’s pretty much like Gamecocks

Seriously doubt that anything like that happened. Only possible if she was acting like a complete jackleg.

I did see some obnoxious fans at the game but they were NC state fans.

It being game day and a late game on top of our most hated in conference foe didn’t help much. I told him people were tailgating and drinking all day up until game time, there’s bound to be some ignorant fans both ways.. hate that an idiot would treat a woman like that to the point she called her uncle crying and called again after the game to talk to him as she excited the stadium. It’s sad that a few drunken idiots can ruin it for some opposing fans who may actually be decent people and give our whole fan base a bad look. I told him if they were WF/BC fans there never would had been a problem but NC State is right up there with the coots on Clemson fans hate list.

It happens at every school on rare occasions. Alcohol is usually the main factor.

When you put 80,000+ people together there will always be some jerks. There were 4 State fans (2 young couples) sitting a couple of rows in front on us and they were pretty mouthy at first. That got a couple of young Clemson fans talking back at them. I talked to the Clemson fans and asked them to yell about what was going on on the field and just act like the State fans weren’t even there. They did really good after that. Probably helped that the state fans got a lot quieter too. But they did stay the whole game. Didn’t hear a peep out of them in the second half.

I’ll never forget several years ago a buddy of mine took me to Auburn to watch them play Georgia. ( He was a former Auburn player). At the opening kickoff a guy in a Georgia shirt starts screaming F bombs and more. There was a family sitting in front of him , mom, dad , 2 young kids, and grandma. Grandma stood up, turned around and put her finger an inch from his nose and said “young man that will be enough of that”. He sat down and barely cheered the rest of the game. Grandma got a big cheer from everybody near her.

There were State fans top deck pouring drinks onto people in the lower bowls, every fan base has crappy people especially when alcohol was involved but I’ll take Clemson fans any day of the week over what I seen in State fans yesterday pure TRASH

Been going to games at Clemson for over 40 years and have never witnessed anything like that. I’m not saying it doesn’t happen, but I’ve never seen it.
I do know that if I do see something like that I won’t let it go.
