or steaming pile of dung? It depends on your half full/half empty mindset...

For me - Our tailgates were awesome - my daughter (a sophomore) got to finally bring her friends to the tailgates this year. Charlotte against UGA was OK except for the outcome. Home games were OK. No signature "awesome" games and alot of yawners. I loved them, but I enjoy a defensive struggle. The bowl game was fun, and we won... A 10-3 record with a top 15-ish finish is pretty awesome considering the circumstances.

On the other hand...

QB and receiver play were stinky. OL (my favorite part of the team) was decimated.. RBs were good by the end. Key injuries on both sides served as another kick in the batteries. Spiers is still the punter. Staff shakeup after several years of stability.


This year certainly was an anomaly, a perfect storm: young personnel, Covid headwinds (super seniors), injuries, inexplicable player performance, and some philosophies that many question with such anger and fervor that the mood becomes a bit of a drag....


BUT - here's to next year being just a bit better and to next year bringing a reunion with the CFP.

Fan experience was awesome. Only made it to homecoming this season but the fans showed out. It was loud and packed. Just like I like it. Game was frustrating at times but the experience was awesome as per usual
