If we beat SMU, then I will allow my emotions to accept the SC defeat. If we don't, then I agree with you. Losing to SMU would just be another wasted opportunity...

I choose to never lose a game but we did and the sun came up today. We beat the Coot a lot more than we loose to them.
On to the next game and don’t cry about the past.

Backing in? Pffff you win your conference you deserve a seat at the table. If you don't win your conference and have to settle for an at-large bid oh well.
Each year March Madness leads to a lot of scenarios that are now appearing in CFB. Sometimes the best teams win their conference and don't have to settle for an at-large. Others lose and have to settle for an at-large. If you're on the bubble due to whatever well it is what it is.
Parity is here to stay. Clemson may or may not be in the CFP but if they win on Saturday they deserve to be there via Conference Championship win. In fact, it really should be all conference winners get in like the CBB Big Dance.
I'd even be all for best records + conference championship make it like the NFL but we need the split to happen for that so we can get rid of this CFP Committee nonsense. Heck, I'd take BCS + CFP set-up over having humans decide after last year's debacle.

I'd rather have won yesterday and had Miami win. We could still get in and would get an extra week to heal some guys. We put ourselves in a tougher situation, even if we win the ACC title..

Imagine redemption meeting either again. I’m living a pipe dream. Hard to believe if the Tigers win the next 4 in a row they’ll be national champions once again. Sure that will be one of Dabo’s motivational lines saying, “How many teams would like to have this opportunity?”

Real Clemson fans know that Dabo just got us to another ACC Championship game and ANOTHER shot at ANOTHER natty..tnets moderators must hate this so much they barely are mentioning it..so do most of the folks that post on this site.......sorry guys, Clemson isn't dead yet...keep betting against Dabo...this year he broke the record for most wins in acc history....I bet that made you guys scream. Maybe just don't watch anymore...if they beat SMU, the national press will cover it. Not sure if tnet will mention much about the upcoming game. They're too mad that they made it in.

Would rather have beaten the Gamecocks and gotten 10 wins in the regular season. I don't think the team will fair well in the playoffs should we actually make it there.
