Expanding my horizons
As a kid used to pull for several teams (CLEMSON, Colts, Yankees, Cyclones, etc).
I got older and had different ones (CLEMSON, Braves, Panthers, Celtics, Hornets, etc).
Now that I am a geezer don't care for any of those except CLEMSON. I have not kept up with others for years.
To add more sports fun to my life, have decided to pick a team to root for this year in addition to my TIGERS.
After some research, have picked the 'Finlandia Lions'.
They were founded in 1896 and average 250" of snow a year.
They are in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference.
I chose them as they seem to be the smallest University (430) so probably could use more fans.
They seem to have a solid rooster for this season if some of the seniors return.

2021 - 0-9
2020 - did not play

2017 - 3-3

Whataya know? They already play sports in the C2C (Coast to Coast conference)!!
Maybe we can join and bring some ACC/PAC teams along to an already established conference that spans the entire country.

Should be able to see a bunch of great games on tv. What network are they usually on? Never mind. I found it. The Uppet Midwest Athletic Confrenece Network.

Going into this season the top player might be Bryon Owens. He is a receiver -- 5-8 / 130.
It aint the size of the Lion but the size of the heart in the Lion.
He caught 39 passes for 543 and three touchdowns and returned 35 kickoffs for 820 yards and a score.
He was All-UMAC second team.
It makes me happy that some of my friends are joining me as to this.
I have looked for a "Lions Forum" no luck so far.
