Examples of great play calling yesterday

Sep 24, 2017, 11:40 AM

1. Hand off to Choice up the middle for a TD.
2. QB designed run for a TD, twice.
3. Hand off to Etienne up the middle for a TD.
4. Hand off to Etienne to the outside for a TD.

Some examples of horrible play calls.

1. QB keeper up the middle for not much gain.
2. Hand off to "insert player name" up the middle for not much gain.
3. Any short pass that did not work.
4. Extra point kick instead of going for 2.

I did not like the play calling for the first 50 minutes of the game. Too many screens what kept getting blown up. Too many KB runs (we have 4 backs that can handle that). Not enough deep balls, out routes, and slants.

All in all I think KB had a great game. The two pics weren't really on him. The OL didn't play particularly well in pass - pro. Rbs looked good. WR were having trouble finding space. I think the players did a good with the plays they were given.

If KB can learn to Roll out and still make good throws.
We can be unstoppable, you see DW did his best work moving around.
KB wants to stand in the pocket to throw.
When he Rolls out he forgets about looking for a Rec.

So the plays that work are better than those that don't?***
