the game of Joe Lunardi's 4 teams that he has definitely in OVER Clemson. The Quad 1 wins by Clemson dwarfed the other 4.....Not even close.

1 Quad 4 loss x 4 equals FOUR losses.
I hate the NET, it has no provision for the relative importance of conference games, rivalry games, injured players, improvement over time, none of the factors that HUMANS would deem important when evaluating teams.

None of the metrics like us because they all agree USuCk, Loyola-C, and Louisville are terrible teams. Losing to bad teams hurts no matter what system you employ. There are over 5000 games played. How are you gonna rate each one by additional metrics like the ones you’re talking about. But the committee does weigh those things after reviewing the NET, RPI, Sagarin, etc. The NET is actually less important for its index score than the quad 3/4 losses and quad 1 wins. These are used as tie breakers among the 16 or so contenders for the last 8 or so slots. Which is why in 4 years lower ranked net teams have gotten in than ever got in with equivalent rank in RPI, because to date they’ve rejected anyone with more than 1 quad 4 loss.

far too much credit for strength of schedule in an effort to encourage scheduling stronger teams. Rewarding a team for simply stepping on the court with another only to be beaten-Virtue scheduling

Are the other teams getting more consideration based on reputation? Have they made the tournament more than us over the last 5-10 years? I’m not saying this is right at all, but we know that happens, just like with OK and Ohio St in football. And I honestly don’t know the answer to this and am frankly too lazy to research it.

I must have looked at it wrong. What I saw was 2 of them had 6 versus our 4. But our conference and overall records are better. I think those 2 were WVU and Wisconsin. Forget the other 2.

It’s redundant. Quads are adjusted for home/away/neutral. Quad 1 is quad 1.
