he hands down deserves it and it's not even close. Undefeated season during what was "supposed" to be a rebuilding year in many ways. Get rid of the politics and we have the COTY and Heisman ! Hopefully a championship but that still on the team to earn it. Dabo and Watson have already earned the other wards

That's one of the best things I have ever heard in my life. I sure hope our tigers rest up and heal up and study up on Oklahoma. Two more to go boys, you can do this!!!!!!

And to (most likely) beat the mighty Alabama to go 15/0, well I've already told Santa that's all I want for Christmas.

Assume he is talking about targeting on the onside kick. How about the no call on Watson when he got hurt and was out for a play. If that wasn't helmet to helmet I don't know what is. Much clearer than the call on T. J. Greene.

Wasn't Watson running on that play?

I don't remember exactly, but running backs (which would include a quarterback that is running) aren't "defenseless" and aren't protected in the same way.

the crown of his helmet and make initial contact with the ball carrier's head. Leading with the crown alone is a spearing penalty, but since the spearing was to Watson's head it becomes targeting. It was really the same type of hit as the one on the onsides kick except the defender came from the side to hit Watson in the head.

I doubt the NCAA had restrictions on # games played in 1897!

Not sure those games matter. The rules and scoring were so different. I'm not trying to take away from their accomplishments, it is just an apples and oranges (ha ha punny) comparison.
