ESPN: Clemson's Most Underated Player for 2016

Feb 17, 2016, 8:45 AM

5. Clemson Tigers

C Jay Guillermo. The Tigers' offensive line was radically improved in 2015 and Guillermo was a big reason why. Consider he missed the spring for personal reasons, and was not even the first-team center when the season began. But after Ryan Norton got hurt, Guillermo stepped into the starting lineup and never left -- anchoring a line that helped the Tigers average over 220 yards rushing while allowing just 18 total sacks. -- Adelson

It's a pretty good thing to be figured into the preseason top 10 , anywhere in it . Ultimately it means nothing , and the polls are meaningless until about week 6 in my opinion.
#5 means that folks who get paid to talk about it think we have a very good team , and I concur .

I could care less about preseason rankings, we could start out the season unranked for all i care. Its about what to do during and towards the end of the season that matters.

Who cares? #5 ranking is just that a ranking. Last season doesn't really matter when looking ahead to this season. The rankings mean nothing to this team. It only makes them more hungry to prove them wrong. This team will be ALL IN. They will take care of business if they just focus on each game one at a time like they did last year. Besides, the rankings are likely to change before the season starts. But again, those rankings won't matter either. The only rankings that will matter will be the rankings that come out in December.
