It is hard to shine when you play MI and OSU every year. They can steal a win against MI every now and then but OSU has proven more elusive. They continue to recruit well and have a top QB replacing Clifford which will help. They always have a stout defense.
They can make some noise but probably still looking at 2-3 losses this year. One of the best environments to see a college football game. Whiteout games are special. Our daughter went there.

We should be top 10 top-five team next year by the end of year. Will win ACC. Florida State is going down baby.

It WAS "way too early" to rank them a month ago before all of the coaching staff changes.

Florida State at 4 and Clemson at 15?!!!?
That pretty much voids the whole list right there.

This is the worst poll Ive ever seen

Michigan and Penn State, still, DECADES after winning anything relevant, continue to get poll love for literally no reason at all. None. Florida State at 4? Why? Because Travis played well down the stretch and they actually won a few games for a change? And maybe grabbed some players out of the portal who couldnt hack it at other programs? Sure lets put them as top 5. Good grief.

Um, Michigan clobbered Ohio State, won the Big and played (albeit poorly) in the playoff last year. I think your assessment is a little off.

Early college football rankings are akin to ESPN predicting the Cowboys to win the Super Bowl every year. It gets views, clicks, etc. Whether you're a Cowboys fan or not, it gets a reaction. Same thing with these way too early college polls. If you think your team is ranked right, too high or too low, it still gets clicks. What better way to get more clicks than to put traditionally (albeit long ago) relevant teams like Penn State in the Top 10?

I enjoy being the underdog but this is a bit much With the hiring of Riley and the strength of our defense alone we are worthy of a top 10 early ranking.
