eSECpn distributes $31.2 million to each school.

At some point you really have to think there will be some sort of backlash against the SEC and ESPN. I suspect it will come in the form of a lawsuit by the players against the conference. They get used, abused and excused. Some receive some sort of crappy degree if they are lucky. Will be fun to watch.

We don't have a shameless TV network playing a propaganda horn for us though.

It still puts us in a hole to teams like USuC, Vandy, and UK.

I hate it. The ACC needs to get off its butt and fix this thing by creating a good network-NOT RAYCOM.

Right now , you're just whining on in thread after thread comparing the SEC's current numbers with the ACC's LAST year numbers.

but lower than what the SEC got this year. One thing being forgotten in all the hoopla, isn't this about 10 mil less than what the projections were for the SEC this time last year ? The ACC NEEDS a network. More money to be made during Baseball and Basketball seasons with conference networks.

The SEC wasn't suppose to see a big gain for 2-3 years from their network. They are way ahead of where they thought they would be. The ACC needs ESPN and a network. Don't do it like the PAC 12 on your own. Partner up.

Exactly...the SEC said the network would generate way more money. I believe I put together a model that had them at 35 and the ACC at 32 with a network. People are seeing these big numbers and screaming network but remember the playoff money was also a big jump compared to BCS funds. I believe that number actually doubled so that is a large reason why everyone's revenues are growing.

You're thinking in terms of football money only. In reality, when you consider all sports, the ACC pulls in more than the SEC. In 2014, the ACC was 2nd and made $305 million in total revenue. The SEC was 4th with $271 million. Stop worrying about nothing.

The problem is every team in the SEC is committed. Whether or not they're good programs is another thing....but even Vandy, UK, Mizzou and SCar are committed to giving time & money to their programs. However the ACC still has Wake, Syracuse, and Pitt...along with a commissioner who's more interested in pushing the Tobacco Road basketball series than he is making the ACC a premier football conference (which was an uphill climb anyway).

We can't compete with the SEC year in and year out with an $11 million deficit. I really hate being in the ACC, Swoffords got to go!

A few teams across the nation come to mind with the former; a great many with the latter.
