What a horribly botched handling of that situation!
Edited to add: my original post caused me to read more about the Waco standoff with Koresh, and it seems clear that Reno was given erroneous info; namely, that children were being abused there. Still, she accepted full responsibility for authorizing the FBI storming of the compound and the resulting loss of life. It gave me a newfound respect for her. I’m sure that weighed heavily on her for the rest of her life.

Reno has her hands cankle deep in that bucket of blood.
No excuses for Waco after Ruby Ridge, and Reno did everything possible to ignore tons of red flags that the raid should not have happened. Reno might as well have killed those children herself.

went into town nearly everyday and was sometimes alone. Just an arrest warrant would have worked. Then they could have started working on the compound as he was taken into custody. Would have been much much easier with dear leader instantly MIA.
They didn’t go that route and you should always question, “why”?

Please explain what "she accepted full responsibility for authorizing the FBI storming of the compound" means. How could Reno not take full responsibility when she is IN CHARGE of the DOJ? Too often this "take full responsibility" is a meaningless phrase used by political appointees to make it appear they are doing something extraordinary or noble when in fact they are just doing what is a requirement of their job. What was the real result of Reno "taking full responsibility"? I'll answer - NOTHING.
Instead, Reno used the "taking full responsibility" as a public relations gimmick that many political appointees employ when they screw up and can't hide it. If she had really taken responsibility for this screw up she would have fired the agents that pushed for this boneheaded assault and then resigned for her own leadership failings.

They then filed an injunction and the judge ordered the DOJ to respond to the request (but they don’t have to release the warrant).
This is illegal and unconstitutional behavior by the DOJ, but the system doesn’t punish itself.

Trumps attorneys were in l discussion with DOJ for a couple weeks before the search then after the search, not a peep from trumps attorneys.
Highly likely that trumps attorneys knew the search was “warranted” and part of due process.
