then I'm guessing the endowment and academic common market issues which are frequently cited as significant hindrances to our success aren't actually impacting our ability to attract good players.
Is that a fair assessment?

for the discrepancies we're hearing regarding facilities and fan support:
1) Simms is telling the truth and JK is not.
2) JK is telling the truth and Simms is not.
It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

Yes our problem on the baseball team is not talent the players are not focused it’s exactly what he saw on the football field in 2008, there was talent everywhere but nobody wanted to play hard.

Did you stop and think prior to typing this that maybe the baseball coaches on staff are top notch recruiters and that the classes could be even better and have a better chance of actually getting all of the signed players on campus if they could offer more money through those outlets?
As it is the class of '21 may be ranked top 10 but it's likely that 3 of those players will never see campus.
2 are on football scholarship so obviously getting a full ride which is rare.
Maybe the other would come to school if he were able to get a full ride.
The more money you can offer players, the higher chance you have to get them on campus instead of losing them to a signing bonus.

full academic scholarships to all of our players.
I've seen the endowment issue used as a reason why we are not the program we were 15 years ago, and I'm trying to understand how much it's actually hurting us.
This isn't a criticism of anyone. I honestly want to understand since I'm not a huge baseball fan.

I would say you are exactly correct. If you can get two top 10 recruiting classes in a row you should make the NCAA playoff.
But the real question is with basketball giving full scholarships why can’t they recruit a top10 class?

Many of their players get more $$ through academics on top of their percentage of the 11.7.

Does the baseball media revise the recruiting rankings after the MLB draft? I’m not sure Clemson baseball maintains those rankings after the pros pull away the stud high school players. Honest question because I don’t really follow baseball recruiting to know who actually enrolls in the fall.

Monte lies. Perfect game has 21 class at ten and if those guys get drafted then it drops. 22 class is 15th. The 19 class was 25th.
