To me EJ Manuel is more like a 5-7th round QB….

The Bills got drunk off of EJ Manuel's athleticism, but if you watch the tape on him it doesn't translate to the field. I would have thought they would have went with Ryan Nassib, since Marrone coached him at Cuse.
Feel bad for Geno Smith though. He shouldn't have been invited in the first place, because of how weak this years QB class is considered. It's not surprising that Smith didn't get picked in the first round. He could be a good NFL QB, but he has accuracy issues. If he didn't have accuracy issues then he would have been a first rounder.

Look at the guys taken in the 1st round the past few years.
Ryan Tannehill, Christian Ponder, Blane Gabbert, Tim Tebow, Jake Locker. EJ is at least as good or better as any of those guys. The new set draft salaries have changed the definition of a 1st round QB. If the Bills didn't pick him, he surely would have been picked up by somebody else.
Manuel is big, athletic, has a good arm, and won a lot more games than any other QB in the draft this year. Also, the fact that Marrone picked Manuel over Nassib tells you everything you need to know about where he thinks the two players stand.

Tajh isn't in the draft this year. So that is irrelevant.***

I agree 100%. I thought Nassib would've been picked, not only bc of the coaching connection, but that he was a better qb. I've really never watched a Syracuse game with nassib in tho so I really dont know

maybe they are going to run a 3 rb, 1 wr set, cause EJ aint going to check down to the next one. Just give him a bunch of safety valves and hope he throws to the right one.

The Bills were able to see his talent through the crappy FSU coaching.

Geno fell apart and the wheels came off. His draft stock

took a plummet with the Heisman hype and the subsequent self destruction that WVU went through.

His destruction of our secondary was this season, Geno's was last season. Bad timing on Geno's part.
