Outlander...

Mumbette and I are now watching “Outlander,” which is on Netflix. It’s set in Scotland, a pretty gritty tale of 5 seasons in the can so far. It’s also a fairly raunchy depiction of sexuality for modern eyes, with lots o' ghey rapey.
But I continue to be amazed at the Scot’s language and witticisms. A scene tonight made me laugh out loud:
Our heroine, Claire, is painfully extracting a woman’s tooth, as a small boy watches on, horrified. A rough Scot Highlander sees the boy’s reaction, and tries to comfort him:
“Aye, laddie, my friend Angus lost both o’ his front teeth when he was even younger than yerself. A cow kicked him in his mouth, and he swallowed them straightaway. He didna sh1te for a week for fear o’ bein’ bitten!”

there's another scene where Claire and Jamie are in Paris on the lam from Scotland, where Jamie has a bounty on his head.
Claire is in the parlor of a French noblewoman, who is getting her legs waxed, and the scene progresses to where her waxing procedure will indeed include her honeypot, as well. Claire is intrigued, and we move to a subsequent scene where Claire is in bed with Jamie.
Things move along, and Jamie discovers Claire is bare down there, so to speak. He is shocked, and Claire tells him, "Why don't you take a look for yourself?"
Jamie goes under the covers, and says, "It's more complicated looking when its not all thatched over."

There's a few on here who watch/watched it. Tigermanac is one, IIRC.
I'm all the way caught up (waiting on season 6). It's a top 5 show for me, I believe.

Waiting on the new season. Claire gets me randy sometimes

and Jamie gets the wife going, I think, so we often watch it then go out in the woods and fu>ck on a log or something to make it authentic.
Nah, it is an awesome show. Really really graphic at times, so beware of that. It can catch some people off guard.

We enjoyed it, the only issue was

that it will devote lots of screen time to romantic scenes and then skip over major plot points.

But the dialog and history are pretty good, with the time-travel thing not being a crutch, so far.
