DW is the best player in the country!

Without DW where would Clemson be right now. He's definitely the nation's MVP in college football. Do you think we would've won the Notre Dame game without DW? I don't think so. His stats weren't great like the last 6 or 7 games, but he made some incredible plays in terrible weather conditions. Notre Dame better be glad they played us early because I think he would've put up some incredible stats against them later in the year. What about the NC State, USuC, UNC and yes (gulp) even the Syracuse game... they threw everything at us on defense and offense. Our defense struggled at times with these teams, but they couldn't stop DW. He is the main reason why we beat those teams! I think our Tigers are a very good football team, but without DW we would not be 13-0.

Agreed, and his numbers are absolutely amazing. However, much of what makes him the best can't be measured. He makes good decisions. Whoever the dummy on here earlier today that said he doesn't check down hasn't watched him play. He frequently throws to a non-primary receiver. He has a calming effect on the team. He is surrounded by playmakers and distributes the ball to them to make their plays. He even blocks (most of the time) when he's supposed to. He is a True Sophomore and has the respect of his veterans and his coaches to the point he calls plays at the line of scrimmage that are effective. He is truly a special player. How many of you had your heart sink for just a second the other night? Even if it wasn't a permanent injury, a concussion would've finished the game for him. I still think we could've won the game. But, I definitely don't feel as confident when he's not in there. I'll give Mcaffrey and Henry their due. They are tremendous players, and if one of them win, they deserve it too. But in my opinion, DW4 is the best player in the country right now. Go Tigers!

You're absolutely right, his poise is amazing! I've never had as much confidence in a QB at Clemson. This year has been so surreal! I've been on this roller coaster ride with Clemson for 50 years and I've never been more impressed with a team. It's always been great to be a Tiger fan, but this year has been unbelievable! Let's make it 15-0!

And I hate to be mushy. Perhaps it's the "Not Your Father's Root Beer" talking (pretty good stuff by the way). But, wish my dad was alive to see this. He was an original beanie wearing Clemson grad. He raised me right to be a Clemson fan. I was only 5 when we won the National Championship. He never wavered from being a Clemson fan. We went to as many games as he could take us to. He died 10 years ago in an accident. Sure wish he was alive to see these days. It surely is a blessed time to be a Clemson fan. I was deployed to Africa last year and missed alot of the season. But, we got the bowl game. I had to wake up at like 3-4 to see it. I admit I was a little doubtful of Cole Stoudt, but man what a win that was. I'm so glad I've been home this year (unfortunately home is in the Midwest thanks to Uncle Sam) to watch these games. So proud to be a Clemson fan--hoping we win it all. Go Tigers!!
