Joke all you want but you have to invest in the program

Schools like Auburn, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Georgia Tech, UVA, etc all built new arena's. None of those schools have had that much more success than Clemson. But you have to have the facilities to recruit at least comparable talent.
Clemson needs a new arena and a new basketball practice facility. That is unless we all want to stay this bad.
You can't expect to compete with teams that you are not on a level playing field with, Clemson is already at a disadvantage with the history portion of the program. But if you want to get recruits to give you a chance, you have to give them a reason to.

right, and all those programs still invested in facilities

that are better than what Clemson has. The point is if those programs have invested in better facilities what makes Clemson think we do not have to? How are we suppose to get recruits over schools with better facilities?

You realize that does not make what I said untrue...

thats part of the problem. Sorry I want Clemson to be better than what we are right now...You can not honestly expect to compete day in and day out without giving yourself a level playing field with those you are attempting to compete with.

Again, you spend all the money you want on Clemson Basketball.
I'll spend the little money I have on Clemson Football.

Without checking the top 25 I'd guess that every team

in the top 25 has better more up to date facilities than Clemson is the point. Whether it be new practice facilities, or a new arena. Also these other schools that are building new buildings may not be ranked but neither are we and we also have little history in basketball so we more than most schools need to provide an edge in recruiting via facilities. Duke maybe can get by without having superior facilities although I am sure theirs are better than ours, but when you are trying to get players to come to Clemson we need to have facilities that make them want to come here.

That's because it's Duke and the Cameron Indoor Stadium. Tons of tradition there. While I don't think better facilities is a fix all solution it definitely would help. Obviously it wont put us up there with schools like UNC and Duke but it will give us a recruiting edge against a lot of our competition. Maybe even we could draw a better crowd to the games?? Support has been miserable the past couple years.
