Rumor that Tyler Davis is vaccinated and asymptomatic

but tested positive.
No idea if true. The ACC and Sec does NOT require vaccinated players to be tested.
Clemson decided to test everybody because they did not want to discriminate against those unvaxed

Per what Caddie said “ Clemson decided to test everybody because they did not want to discriminate against those unvaxed”
I hope that’s what they did as I think it’s the right call in this case, especially when the vaxed are not immune. Test one, test all. JMHO

test as little as possible and risk long haul issues
Sep 2, 2021, 12:27 AM

like we did with XT and another player last year... that also increases the risk of having more players getting the virus and possible having to take an L by forfeit, is that what you really want?
the vax does not prevent infection, so for your entertainment, you advocate testing as little as possible... really??

Just asking; what’s the point of a vacc
Sep 2, 2021, 8:47 AM
[ in reply to Re: So are we pro-discrimination against the un-Vax ] |

that doesn’t work?! Why must you still mask up if the vacc keeps you from getting deadly sick?! If you take the CDC official numbers as true (artificially inflated in 2020), the death rate is 1%. That’s the flu! Period. I’m going to answer my own questions. My education is in medicine. I have read many medical journals about the COVID vaccine. It’s NOT a vaccine. Vaccines contain isolates of the disease they are supposed to protect you from. The jab contains none. The jab contains mRNA that turns your cells into machines that make the protein spikes seen on the coronavirus. The mRNA delivers instructions for making proteins in the body. This triggers an immune response from the cells not hijacked by the vaccine. The person then sheds protein spikes constantly. Why is this an issue? You’re immune to the spikes, not the virus. Those spikes are causing sterility in women, women in menopause to have periods, among many other health issues. The dangers of wearing a mask are clearly documented by the NIH. Wearing a mask drops your oxygen below 17%. At this point, your brain starts to become O2 starved. This causes necrosis in the brain that presents just like CTE. Think Muhammad Ali, Junior Seau. Brain scans are revealing this. Not to mention the dangers of prolonged mask wearing just from a bacterial standpoint. They keep screaming follow the science while contradicting science. An N95 mask filters particulates as small as 300 microns. Why is than an issue? The virus is as small as 5 microns. The virus is carried through droplets. Droplets can be as small as 10 microns. That’s like a pasta strainer trying to stop a gnat. Cloth masks do not filter out much of anything. Their holes are measured in nanometers. Most doctors and scientists are too afraid to speak the truth. Cancel culture is real within those communities. The CDC is a US government agency. Don’t take my word for all of this. Do some research yourself. Type Google scholar into your browser. Search for terms like: efficacy of N95 masks, dangers of exercising while wearing masks, dangers of prolonged mask wearing. Read those studies and medical journals. Look up the size of the corona virus. Go to the CDC website and divid the number of deaths by the number of cases. It was 1.6% yesterday. Compare that to the flu, common cold, and other diseases that are common. Covid is not what they have built it up to be. They even changed the definition of pandemic in 2019 to open the door for this debacle. History and science will remember this as the greatest con pulled on mankind. The corona virus is real. Yes, people die. People also die from the flu. At almost the exact same rate. Corona virus has been around a long time. It circled the globe yearly. It was formerly called SARS and MERS. The death rate has always been around 1%

it is a vaccine vaccines cause immune response to antigens of the pathogen.
Take for instance pneumococcus, the vaccine that your kids if you have them. the vaccine has 7 different antigens, but not the whole organism.
The only difference that you did list is that the muscle cells where the vaccine is injected do make the antigen. but is still a vaccine
and you stats are grossly incorrect. Covid is the second deadliest pandemic of recorded history. It is not a con job. Hospitals are FULL. Our local hospital is rooming patients in the halls because there is no room. This isn't flu, aside from the 1918 version, and anyone who says so is grossly misinformed

In case you didn't know the Delta variant is being shown to be a mutation because the Vax is not doing what it is supposed to. So all you vaxed holier than thou people are spreading the virus more than the un vaxed. If he is vaccinated then obviously it doesn't work if he is testing positive. You people are so dumb.

Hospital statistics show that the vaccine is working extremely well.
Sep 1, 2021, 11:37 PM
|

In most hospitals, nearly all of the patients in the ICU and on ventilators are unvaccinated. The vaccinated patients with severe disease almost always have significant underlying health issues.
I kindly recommend that you read up some more on the vaccine, ideally using credible sources.

hospitalizations do not happen unless the virus is contracted, which can happen whether you are vaxxed or not. the vax only minimizes symptoms, it does not prevent infections, so an overlooked risk is that a vaxxed positive person being asymptomatic goes about their days spreading the virus because they do not know they are positive unless tested...
until a vax is produced that actually prevents infection, testing everybody is of the utmost importance based on potential exposure.

This is so dumb if true. Vaccinated status doesn’t define a protected class of people. It’s not discriminatory to require just unvaccinated personnel to be tested if the rules exempt personnel that are vaccinated. If Davis is vaccinated and this is a breakthrough case I wish the young man well and hope he has a speedy recovery. If this is a false positive and he has to sit, then I’m not sure if I feel worse for him that Dabo didn’t require all the players to get the vaccine or that Dabo decided to needlessly test everyone.

The ACC and Sec says it's ok to Not test vaxed players.
Clemson just decided to do this along with Duke.
No other ACC schools are doing that. This is a university decision that is awful for football.

Ah, not a Dabo decision, so I guess I shouldn’t have called him out. But, this definitely makes me question the decision making abilities of the University.

It won’t be popular with with the “win at all costs” crowd, but some things are more important than football. The health of our players, coaches, and community is one such thing.
I know this wasn’t an easy decision, but great job by our university leaders.

And vaccinated to vaccinated transmission if exceptionally rare.
The vaccines were supposed to be a pathway out of this so it’s high discouraging to see basically the same protocols as last year as if the vaccine changed nothing. Too many people ok with letting it greatly disrupt things with seemingly no end in sight.

Geez. Why are we testing anyone who isn't symptomatic at this point? Is it the 99.995 survival rate for people in this age range? If we are testing people that we don't have to we are morons and deserve what we get.
