Don't underestimate Shaw.

The only thing I've seen that has made him more of a mid major prospect prior to now is his height. However, having coached against him and guys like Eric Smith (who went to Coot U but was on Clemson's board back in the day) Shaw is a significantly better player IMHO. Not that Smith was all world as he has clearly not been, but Shaw can play and has explosiveness that offsets his size to a degree.
He would be a stud at High Point or the like. If you think, like I do, that we should have gotten Stitt's cousin who is at C of C, then you shouldn't question this move if it is made.

That's great news. I hope we can beat out Hight Point, PC and Winthrop.

Don't we have a plethora of point guards and two-guards that can man the point?

so there must be some talent on the team. Hopefully he fell through the cracks. Sure would be nice to see some red foxes start coming to Clemson instead of ending up with the coots all the time!

Does this mean that Northwestern transfer didn't work out?..
Mar 29, 2013, 3:39 PM

Because otherwise it seems that there aren't enough scholarships to go around. Even with the Northwestern transfer I'm not sure there were enough to go around if we are going to get the two big guys whose last names start with "D". I basically thought we had 2 scholarships available (assuming that Rooks and Ajukwa had the other 2) and that those 2 scholarships were hopefully going to the big guys. Then I assumed that maybe 1 more might open up if Harrison left and that was why we were recruiting the Northwestern PG and perhaps that didn't work out?
Anybody got a guess where this is all going?
