at this time since next year the UFL & other good big-name jobs might be available..with daughter finishing up HS this yr..a $1.3 Mil contract (5M to buy out)..
And Vandy is Not the SEC team to be HC at IMO.

Buyout clause is the best tool anyone in this state has ever used. Clemson exec should be businessman of the year and go directly into working as a agent for a professional player.
Super smart. Lock him up with great salary plus buyout that says you will only leave for HC job because nobody is paying 5 mil plus salary for OC who is leaving for HC job in a few years later
Yes, for those idiots who say Texas can pay it...sure they can but nobody would when other Coords could come in with 850K as a salary increase and take the job. Let's see 850K plus increase next year if do well to 950K leave after 2 yrs of success vs Morris at 1.3 salary have to give him a raise to 1.5 plus 5 million buyout for him to leave 2 years later for a HC job

Like I said, Texass has 10 times that in a slush fund. And if, a big IF, if Texass really wanted Morris, they would never stoop low enough to ask Morris to ask someone to lower his buy out fee. NEVER, it would be the coldest day ever in H&ll before they would have done something like that. And that would embarrassed and demoted the richness of their all that Long Horn school. There is one thing that all those rich Texans want everybody to know, and that is they have plenty of money to just burn if it's something they want. That goes back to an ole saying that goes like this. If you have to ask how much it cost, you can't afford it. So I'm betting it's a 110% rumor!!!

It's simple economics?

Sure, if you consider the limited number of OC who know Tejus like the back of their hand and run the smash mouth spread. That's the demand line on your graft now make us a list of those with these qualifications and we'll all examine the supply and estimate what Tejus would pay for Chad if they wanted him.
Yeah, I didn't think Michael Jackson was worth what he got for a concert either but he kept packing the house.
If Tejus wanted Chad they would already have him.

Exactly what I think. Big bucks buy what ever it wants while saying on the way out, keep the change!!! Also, has Morris been in the college ranks long enough to bring in good enough assistant coaches that he could actually turn Vandy into a big time program in the SEC. I'm thinking he could do himself enough harm at Vandy that it may take him the rest of his coaching career to recover from jumping into that dumpster fire....

Nobody is going to win at Vandy until they change...

their academic requirments. That isn't going to happen. They are happy with 7 or 8 wins a year and a bowl game.
If Chad goes it's because Vandy is a stepping stone for a better HCing job and a nice raise.

Chad would be smart to avoid Vandy at all costs, it is a losing proposition for an up and coming coach like Chad, he needs to wait it out for better opportunity. The SEC has 8 of the top 14 ranked recruiting classes for 2014, including UT, UGA, UF, Bama, Aub, LSU, OleMiss, aTM, and SC has 9 four stars already, KY is top 20 ........they eat their own, stay away Chad. Franklin was 27-19 after three years, the best Vandy run in a long while, and he was a guy that was able to sell his #### to the extreme, still did not buy him any chance to remotely compete for the SEC East. That is a dead end street at Vandy. Surely Chad is smart enough to say no thanks.

Sorry, Franklin was 8 games over .500 after three years, had the record wrong. Same story, he won the OOC games and a few SEC games each year, never was in a position to challenge for anything in the SEC, even the East. That is a dead end street.
