I have read on this board that TL does not like being referred to as “Sunshine”. I don’t know if this is true, but I would certainly understand if it is, as I would feel the same way if I were him.
However, I am constantly seeing supposed Clemson fans refer to him
as “Sunshine” on this board as well as on other social media platforms.
What I am wondering is (a) if someone knows for a fact that this really does get under his skin, and (b) if it does, why a true Clemson fan would insist on calling him this.
Would someone who knows the facts on this share them?

Agree 100%. That is only one of the reasons not to like it. I’m not looking for those, I am curious whether it in fact bothers him or if it is just something a lot of us have assumed.

I should add that I have also seen people who I know for certain are as true Clemson fans as there are referring to him as “Sunshine”. That is why I am trying to find out for sure, because I don’t want to make a stink out of it if, when it gets right down to it, TL couldn’t care less about it.

If you are a Clemson fan and you call him Sunshine, you are no better or different than a coot fan that knows nothing about giving due respect to another person. That's right, if you still call him sunshine, you are as low bred as a coot!!!

He clearly states he doesn't like Sunshine and really doesn't like nicknames in general. This interview is during his Jr year and he says Chase Brice is a good friend.

Sunshine coming out but I didn’t know he didn’t like it an had no idea about the video where he said he didn’t like it. Y’all forgive me, I won’t refer to him with that reference again. I know what it’s like to be called a nickname because of your hair. Back in the day with the blond mullet I had many call me Rod Stewart and hated it.
Ps- never knew the coots had a player called sunshine and I grew up In Anderson S.C.
