Don’t blame Ross!!!

Maybe Ross should have set down on route but it couldn’t be that every receiver was on a different page than DJ. DJ was indecisive, slow, was on a different page than every receiver, looked like Cam Newton overthrowing the ball all night. There was one way over rated player last night and it was DJ. Dr Pepper is surely second guessing NIL contact and need to come up with a Prevagen spike drink for DJ. Coaching bears some blame that when a QB is so off his game, change up the game plan a bit and take the pressure off the QB for a bit. Last night was as close to a NATTY as either will see this year. Sure, Clemson could make the CFP, but it won’t look any better than last year. We better find a backup and quick.

At least publicly. So I’m not surprised he’s blaming Ross.

I’m sure he saw how unprepared DJ was and didn’t want to derail his confidence further by blaming him for that turnover.

Ross didnt start practicing until a few weeks

ago. He and DJ have basically no time together and it showed. DJ and Ngata have tons together and it showed. My biggest concern with DJ is his reluctance to leave the pocket and run. Cant hold the ball 3-4 seconds against top flight D's. He did that all night. DW did it intrinsically. TL learned. Will DJ? Those QB scrambles move the chains in our offense

Deshaun was a dual threat QB. He ran as well as he threw.. DJ and Trevor are pocket passers.. I had concerns how Trevor would translate to our offense and he surprised the crap out of me running the ball later down the road when he got comfortable in the offense. It seems like DJ is doing the same thing. The thing that saved Trevor more than DJ is his freshman year he had a #### good OL in front of him that kept him clean most nights. DJ is a sitting duck behind that OL. He is hesitant to run he's wanting to sit tall in the pocket and throw, but as they said before the season started the one thing he needs to fix is that long throwing motion. Its got to get more compact and short. He has a long way to go when he throws. So until Streeter and co fix that its going to be a problem. he's like Byron Leftwich in his delivery of the football. He has to get his keys faster or if that number one isnt available he needs to high tail it and run for positive yards.
