To respect his wishes, I won’t mention his name. But, he was a big brother and father figure when I needed it the most. I met him in 1986 as a sophomore in high school. He was a legend and my school. He earned a half baseball half football scholarship to Alabama. He COULD have been a HOF NFL guy. He got married and homesick and retired from college. He mentored me to a D1 scholarship in baseball and was one of my greatest friends of all time. He said no one ever pushed him as an athlete except competing against me. He is a giant. 6’5” 270lbs and was 6% body fat in his prime. I was 6’0” 196lbs. He is the gentle giant. He got Covid in 2020 and has advanced lung scarring. They are about to intubate and place in hospice. His love for Clemson rivals any of ours on here. Although he played for Alabama. Danny never offered him. Please say a prayer for my mentor. My brother. Thank you in advance.

Done even if he didn't have a great life and story. God love to hear from us, and I love talking to him. Prayers for others are automatic from me bc it makes me feel good to be talking to God for others and not just myself Amen!!!

Prayers for Your Legend and His Family. My Idol and Uncle was 4 years older than me but did all the things you said. Allstate in Football, Basketball and Baseball. He died about 31 years ago. It absolutely changed my life. He was my Mentor and teacher. I try to remember His advice etc. daily. So Prayers for You, My Tiger Friend. Remember the good things, I guarantee that’s what He would tell You!

He has kept his ease of humor. I’m heading back home in the early am to see my brother off. It doesn’t make it easy. I’m flooded with so many great memories. Exactly as he’d want me to be.

Prayers for you and your friend, it's a tough pill to swallow. I lost my life long friend in 2000 it's been five years now still think of him every day. I spoke at his funeral one of the toughest task I've ever been given. Your friend will be missed but the memories will be cherished. You will always be grateful he blessed your life and as you blessed his. God speed my Tiger friend!!
