See… you do recruiting of high school kids and they choose which college is a good fit.
Then they go to practice…and play in games when they’re good enough.
Oh, and this thing called…SCHOOL…
And they develop as a person and an athlete and they graduate from this school that some of us attended. Maybe you didn’t.
But some of us still like college and college athletics.
Or do you just want a team of NFL free agents who happen to have a tiger paw on their helmet?

THIS IS REAL COLLEGE NOW......you don't have to like it......heck, I HATE IT!!! but I don't want to see Clemson (the school I graduated from) being the ONLY college program not utilizing every possible resource to succeed..........get with the times. It's here to stay.

What does SCHOOL have to do with recruiting transfers or not? 30% of portal players are graduate students. I don't know where this idea came from that wanting to change schools means you must not care about academics or developing as a person, but it's obviously not true.

Do you want Clemson to win and stay relevant or not? It sounds like you would rather Clemson not be a football school, and that is fine. That is your opinion, but for the rest of us who love Clemson football, we know that you have to keep up with what is going on if you expect to stay a relevant football team.

False choice there.
Clemson’s culture approach is the smart strategy for a program that will continually decline as far as our monetary resources compared to those from SEC and B1G programs.
We can’t compete via the portal / NIL game.
If we want Clemson to remain competitive with the big money programs, then we can achieve it … again, given our monetary resources … via Dabo’s culture approach.
We should be regularly getting to the expanded CFP, will sometimes win a game or two when we get it, and might just compete for a title on occasion.
It was unrealistic for us to expect to be in CFP every year under the current format, regardless of whether NIL and open borders Portal were in place.
The Portal / NIL approach as being Clemson’s FB savior is fool’s gold.

I will lone and respect Dabo always. I’m the worlds biggest fan. He built us. But what he is doing now isn’t working. It’s taken is down from elite status. And it needs to change immediately.

Can we find someone who can win the right way? Not saying it isnt Dabo, but hes not seemed willing to adapt to the current landscape of transfers. Also, hes got to quit burning scholarships with guys who should be walkons. Over-sign bc you know people will leave to put you back at 85 scholarships. Instead, he fills needs to the number, then we're left short when people leave. We were only over a couple in the Spring but a lot of that was bc of these walk-on level players who are on scholarship.

It has nothing to do with the right way.
It’s obvious that Dabo was able to go on a run doing things the right way. He is still able to.
It’s about preparing his players, mentally and physically. It’s about playcalling. It’s about execution. It’s about all the fundamentally sound aspects within a football team.
If you fumble twice inside the 10, do not tackle, and miss 2 FGs, you will likely lose the way we did. Even though Clemson led in multiple stat categories.
