Dude, its not about the Ws and Ls. Its about conferences looking for big state universities who have tradition, a huge following, and fans.
We meet those conditions. Its only a matter of time

Arkansas got into the SEC well before any of this new conference alignment and that was solely because they wanted out of the old SWC due to Texas and Texas A&M running it kind of like why A&M got out of the Big 12.
The bottom feeders, which I am including Arkansas, are lucky to be in. The conference realignment comes down to TV dollars which is about market share. I think Clemson would be a great fit for the SEC but what TV market does it bring that is not already in the SEC portfolio?
To me Clemson fits in the SEC but I think at the end of the day what scares the SEC is losing Miami or FSU to the BG10 and giving them TV markets into Florida.
Personally, the way college football is going is really destroying what I think we all loved a long time ago around rivalries and student athletes playing hard for their University that they always dreamed about playing at and not this semi-pro league.

BC brought in a large TV market - HOWD THAT WORK OUT FOR THE ACC
Clemson is one of the top schools in the nation in regards to TV market as well.

Doubt it.

Why?
Ole Miss, Miss, TA&M, Auburn, SC, UF, Arkansas and Vandy suck every year.
LSU is a coin-toss each year - so is Tennessee.
Texas has been atrocious for years and is only now relevant due to NIL and the money the donors will throw at recruits.
Oklahoma (mentioned earlier) went 6-7 last year.
Having one pit-fall season won't hurt Clemson. Having 2, however, would probably cement our a s s into the ACC until the GOR runs out.

I hope nothing takes us to the SEC. If we lay down with dogs, we will get fleas.
