in practice all week and still gave it all he could. Somehow got to think a QB that has to take a pain shot before the game is not thinking as clearly as one that doesn't.

I'll be the first to agree with those who say Cole didn't look very good today, but it has to be tempered by the fact that he was indeed hurt last week and if he got snaps in practice, they were probably very limited and with the second team.
He did okay under the circumstances. He'll need to do better from here on out.
