Have never heard anything negative on them. I used to help a guy that had a Hustler (very solid mower) and then I bought a SCAG. Liked that one as well. Anything with a commercial deck not stamped with a reliable engine will work fine.

I have a ZT Elite 54” and love it for my 5 acres. I have hills and flat open areas. Plenty of power, no issues in the 2 years I’ve owned it. Their 0% financing is nice too. I did not buy from Tractor Supply but instead a power sports dealer. I was told the ones from TS are not the same, kind of like John Deere’s from Lowes compared to an actual John Deere Dealer.

Yea John Deere told me they make cheaper versions for these box stores. I nursed a Scott’s mower made by John Deere for 15 years. Engine was never an issue but did change out a lot of belts and changed the deck out. Did end up putting more money into it than I should have. Still impressed I had that Home Depot model that long.

I have a couple of Hustlers. I did a demo on my property with a half dozen dealers/brands. I just kept coming back to the Hustler.

My buddy has a big Dixie Chopper. That is best mower I have been on, everything is heavy duty, easy to work on, fast as heck, and tall grass doesn't bother it at all. Its made in America but they are not cheap but you pay for what you get and should last forever.
I bought a Cub Cadet a couple yrs ago and I like it for the money.
