Does anyone know of a good place to restore a watch?

My Dad passed away in September, and my Mom gave me his Cartier Tank watch that she gave him as a wedding gift. I wanted to get it fixed up, can anyone recommend a reliable place that could do this?

I'm currently in Simpsonville, but I work by Clemson and have family is Spartanburg, so anywhere in between is near for me

I don't know your location, but Walker Copley at the Watch Works in Spartanburg, S.C. is probably the best at his trade in the upstate. He's been in the watch repair business for 40+ years. He is located at 1040 Fernwood Glendale Road and he is open Monday thru Friday.

check jewelry stores near you and see if they have an old dude on staff that actually knows how to work on mechanical watches. Usually the small store in a small town is a good place to start.

Cartier does not have a lifetime warranty. Any warranty that it does have is probably limited to it's original purchaser.

Had the same issue, I took it to a jewelry store and they sent it to the manufacturer.
