antibody treatments to people who are admitted to the ER. Apparently Prisma still offers it, and she sent a request to them, but said there was some kind of communication problem and last request she sent got no response, so I don't know. She advised that if symptoms got worse (they are not bad right now), to head to the ER immediately, and don't #### around.

Monoclonal antibodies don't work against omicron

That's why many places have stopped giving them. There is one, or maybe two brand names that work, and one of those was only received EUA from the FDA like 2 weeks ago, so I doubt there's a huge supply yet. I think the one that's still good is sotrovimab which is mildly effective, and the other is brand new but very effective, so probably not in sufficient supply. All the rest don't work, like at all.

I've heard it said that everybody will eventually get covid.

I'm sure some folks who are super isolated may get through unscathed, but the omicron variant is supposedly so highly contagious there is no escaping it if you are in public or around other people at all. The good news is that omicron, which will soon make up almost all cases of covid, doesn't appear to be deadly at all, especially for otherwise healthy people and it runs it's course fairly quickly compared to previous variants.

Daughter of just called with positive result. Congested and achy all over, thus far is it.
My wife, other daughter, both son in laws, grandson and I feel fine at this point, but we were all together for a protracted period of time on and around Christmas.
Everyone has had both shots and the booster except for the toddler grandson and one son in law who just became eligible for the booster.
COVID is just the gift that keeps on giving, but glad thus far that this one doesn't appear too nasty.
My prediction that the entire family would probably be positive before New Year's is on track.
Good luck Smiling Tiger and everyone else.

That is why I believe many people compare it to the flu but then get bashed for it. I do believe it has killed many people but from all the people I have known that have had it I have to believe the numbers are inflated and covid is being used to scare people for some reason I do not know. Hopefully you get better soon!

wrecks or suicides or strokes that were written off as covid, but where the person was fine one day, working, going about their lives, then got sick with covid, then died a short time later when they could not breathe anymore. All of that was with the first couple of variants, and a lot of them before vaccines were readily available for most people. The delta variant was particularly deadly, and took out a couple of my good friends. The omicron variant which is the main one going around now, and the one I suspect that I have, is not nearly as severe, and not serious at all for the vast majority of people, especially if you are young, healthy or fully vaxxed. More and more mainstream doctors are now saying that and encouraging people to act accordingly.
Covid has no doubt been politicized, by both politicians themselves, and their puppets in the media. Absolutely no denying that. Tons of spin and misleading, agenda driven opinion. Having said that, there is also no denying that covid is real pandemic that has killed millions of people. People have to decide for themselves what to do with those truths.
