Do you call your bae

Oct 10, 2016, 10:47 AM

1) Baby
2) Honey
3) Sweetheart
4) Darlin
5) Bae
6) Boo

Or just use their first name all the time. She told me she loved me and called me darling, but calling someone by their first name all the time kinda makes ya feel like Hannibal Lecter nomsayin?

I'll be following in Lakebum's shoes shortly. Time to break out the flannel shirts and the sepia camera filters for some beautiful, romantic glamour shots in front of old barns and Model T fords.

RIP me.

Same for everyone in my household. It just makes things easier and more casual. It has to be something that can also be somewhat funny too though.

It seems very soon. But when you know, you know.

I wouldn't have believed it 3 months ago if you told me I'd go from posting facedown ### up pigs of crazy beeches in WSB to this. Wouldn't have believed it.

It's been a good bit more than a month, but I get how it sounds. I should be ashamed but I'm not.

PRO TIP: We had lived together for a year, so our honeymoon

Oct 10, 2016, 11:07 AM

was pretty much over, but you can gaurandamntee it'll end once wedding planning begins. I'm 1.5 weeks in, and I've heard more about wedding venues than I had ever hoped to in my life. And then you get bridesmaid drama, every chick thinks every wedding is about her and only her apparently. Oh, and don't even get me started on friends who have friends who can be your photographer, flower person, DJ, limo driver, back massager, accountant, mechanic, painter, dog watcher, telephone answerer, life coach, kleenex holder, jewelry specialist, shoe expert, beard care product supplier, eye doctor, caterer.....The list is endless.

Take your time, buy a boat, and don't subject yourself to this nonsense

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

What venues are you guys looking at?

Oct 10, 2016, 12:07 PM [ in reply to PRO TIP: We had lived together for a year, so our honeymoon ]

I'm fairly certain I looked at or talked about 95% of venues in the upstate. All you say here is true. Thank God we're nearly done with the planning and can just wait it out.

Although, new development of the week. Our wedding just happens to be the same weekend as round one of NCAA Tournament next year that got moved to Greenville so hotels just doubled their room prices for any additional rooms people may need outside of the blocks we already had established.

and I never want to know what the final total is going to end up at. In our defense though we did not really want the extravagant party that her parents are throwing for us and had we done the planning it probably wouldn't have been too expensive.

I think we've about settled on the Madren Center

Oct 10, 2016, 12:15 PM [ in reply to What venues are you guys looking at? ]

It's the most economical, and would be easy for guests to find a place to stay, etc. Plus, we can drive off on the boat like bosses. We've looked and talked to everyone in Greenville, most of the places are just too expensive. I know $20k weddings are in style right now, but not for us.

I think she really wanted the Commerce Club, but it's just too pricey.
