Do you boys think Vols will beat the Sooners in Knoxville?

I'm asking because you played OU last year in the bowl game.
from the AJC:
Last season, the Sooners entered October ranked No. 4 nationally; they were unranked in the final polls, having lost five of their final nine games. Two of the victories came against Iowa State and Kansas, which were awful. OU was routed at home by Baylor and beaten 40-6 by Clemson in the Citrus Bowl.
On the other hand, Vols have lost 33 out of last 35 games against ranked opponents.

UT secondary is very suspect, (see BG game)
OU is throwing it around with Baker Mayfield and LIncoln Riley as OC... Stoops is going back to what won championships for him...
it will be ugly - IMO, OU is the most underrated team in the country

I had a hard time picking that game. I think Tennessee has more individual talent, but I ended up picking Oklahoma. Tennessee will forever be "one year away". They've gone 1-16 against ranked opponents in the last three years, including getting destroyed by Oklahoma last year.

We put them in the top 25 to cover all the bases. If the Vols win it's a good win for them and they've proven they belong. If they lose then it's a good loss to another top 25 SECheat team which is another way to prove they belong. This works for both teams.

at some point, they have to shift out of "rebuilding mode" and start beating some teams and become the hunted. From a mental standpoint, this OOC game is the place to start. Because UGA will roll in there fully confident, the dawgs seem to play well in SEC road games that are not in Columbia

Yeah but Butch Jones is the coach. Good recruiter, but when's the last time any of his teams were able to take that next step and start winning what were on paper toss-up games? I'm skeptical until they do it on any sort of regular basis.

No. Just no. Not saying they can't or wont. But I don't see it right now. I'm not sold on Dobbs being as good as I keep hearing. I also know that Perineum is legit and going to run through them all game. Even emson D last season didn't stop him the whole game, and Golston D isnt in that league yet. But I guess anything can happen, saw a pig flying in a commercial other day
