It's borrowed from Auburn. Several years ago Auburn had beaten Alabama 4 times in a row. They came up with a slogan "Fear the Thumb" which if you count the thumb and 4 fingers you have 5. Nothing the Gamechickens come up with is original.

Kinda like "dotting the I" with the tiger band. No one in the country has a tradition of dotting the I, do they! Ohio State???

[ in reply to Dude, everything about Clemson was stolen from Auburn ] |

Tigers was a team vote where the team voted Tigers because of the Princeton Tigers Colors were from old Auburn jerseys that were faded so they were orange and purple (hardly stolen) Same architect designed the campuses (hardly stolen) Clemson is the original Death Valley, LSU's is Death Valley because they couldn't pronounce "Deaf Valley" Tiger Rag is popular for most schools that have the mascot of a Tiger, and it is a New Orleans jazz song, not from LSU.

Make shirts with a hand doing the thumbs up saying fear the thumb or have a shirt with a thumbs up with a plus sign then have 65 then saying fear the thumb.
