The Beavers' QB isn't very good. He's a weakness on their team. DJ is way more talented even with his notable flaws.
They might settle for DJ but I bet they are shooting higher.

Absolutely 100% wrong.
You only looked at the raw stats on the year without watching them play. DJ had better total stat numbers, because OSU's starting QB (who was far better than DJ), got hurt halfway through the season.
Actually look at game by game stats. Gulbranson was more accurate, had a significantly higher yards per attempt, had a higher passer rating, and got better as the season progressed. He is a game manager, because they had an extremely deadly running attack, but he's a great game manager. He doesn't turn the ball over, and gets the first down when they need it. DJ has no strength as a QB (at least in the past 2 years), and regressed heavily.
In Gulbranson's last 6 games, he was 64% completions for 839 yards, 7 touchdowns, 2 interceptions, and added 5 touchdowns on the ground (with no fumbles)
In DJ's last 6 games, he was 56% for 836 yards (keep in mind he had 30 more attempts), 5 touchdowns, 5 interceptions, 3 touchdowns on the ground, and 3 fumbles.
DJ was worse in every single statistic, despite having an easier schedule and what should be a better supporting team.

Unless his brother can strike a deal he might want to drop down to an FCS school for some guaranteed playing time. ACC obviously not great. Name one starter in the ACC (not back ups subbing for injuries) that was not better than DJ?

Almost as if they have not seen DJ flounder around against sub standard talent for 2 years. Yet some must have attended or watched the games. No idea what they were watching but it must not have been all those short hop passes and 5 yard screens that sail over the RB's head or land at his feet. I mean bizarre type stuff. Teams lining up to get him.

Kyle McCord is unproven because he sat behind CJ Stroud this year, but I'd take him 100x before DJ.
Even if Ryan Day guaranteed DJ the starting job for game 1, the last thing DJ wants is another younger, more talented player behind him. He would not be afforded the same protection in Columbus because the fan base is much more rabid and the expectations are even higher.
DJ should avoid another fiery furnace and go play for Tedford at Cal State Fullerton.

Like a few other posters have mentioned, Fresno State would be a good landing spot. I have not seen Oregon State mentioned in media as a possible DJU destination, however my understanding is there is a QB need. So OSU is in play to some degree.
Now whether DJU fits the Beavers scheme? Dunno. Just specualtin’.

Looks like all the places he wanted to go have been signing other guys. He's still rated as the #22 transfer prospect and i believe ahead of Brennan Armstrong from UVA.
I hope he finds a spot, gets some guidance and improves and has a great career. I do still think it's odd he was flying back to California to work with his own QB coach *every weekend* instead of staying in Clemson to practice.
