I don't know much about this kid or the talent level he has as an entry level college QB, but our recruiting level at QB surely has dropped way down when comparing them to DW4 and TL16.
For me personally that is really hard to understand when looking at how elite our coaching staff is bc I believe that we have two of the better offensive and defensive coordinators in the country that I believe should be attracting some of the best HS talent in the country...

From DW4 to TL16, we pulled in a 5-star kid from California (turned out to be a bust), then a 5-star kid from Texas that's turned out pretty well so far.. We have also pulled in some other 4-5 star QBs that didn't pan out or haven't had their opportunity to show what they can do. There have been some 3-star kids as well, but Tait is now a 4-star and could be the next 5-star by the time he arrives on campus. NIL has created more parity and allowed for schools that wouldn't otherwise be able to attract the top QBs to overtake us a little. I also think some of our elite coaching was downgraded for a few years, which might also account for a bit of the slump you feel exists.

A few are 5 stars because someone declared them to be so, not because they are so.

In a round hole. His recruitment for our offense was all wrong. We had a series of bad QB recruiting decisions for a period of time.

He’s been improving his stock. I expect him to make a big jump in recruiting rankings during his SR season. He’s done really well at the qb camps this summer.

Dabos recruiting in general has dropped way off. This years class will finish around 15-20th. Thats not close to elite level. Although Dabo is still getting his $11.5m a year🤦♂️

It's really sad when a T-Netter that has been sharing their opinion here on T-Net for a long time will thumb down another long time T-Netter for sharing their opinion especially when their opinion is actually the truth. I'm disappointed with you tigeron. But don't worry, I wouldn't TD yours or anyone else's post that giving their opinion. With me I appreciate other T-Netters opinions as long as they're not bashing Clemson, players, coaches, and yes other posters. Oh well, each to their own!!!

Does anyone know if he is good enough at baseball to get drafted high enough in next year's MLB draft that we never see him at Clemson..?

He could get drafted but I think he's made his intentions quite clear that he wants to be a QB.

Pretty sure he’s like will Taylor but better as a QB prospect. he could prob go to the MLB draft but says he wants to play college football and also try college baseball. I think he will become a really good QB if he continues his development! Go Tigers!!

He might make more with the NIL as the starting QB for Clemson in a couple of years. Thats one good thing about the NIL.

This time a year ago we had fans bitching and moaning because he was rated only 3 stars. Should've trusted our coaches evaluation instead of some nerds at a recruiting site putting a rating on a prospect that just finished the 10th grade.

Its wild when a newbie points out the old trust the coaches line when they are correct but go into witness protection when it goes the other way.

247 still has him as a 3 star even tho he’s now #1 in Arizona. I’m not worried tho I def think he’s underestimated recruiting wise bc he did so well at camps and his development in Hs football too. He should be a mid to high 4 star at the least. But I’ts not big deal, I think he is a Great QB recruit!! Go Tigers!!
