It seems to me that our OC with his "Dirt Raid" won't attract top QB's and WR's

Why would a top QB or WR's want to come to a school that wants to predominantly pound the rock rather than airing it out?
When Chad Morris came along and implemented his HUNH offense and later continued through Tony Elliot and Jeff Scott we had a heck of a run that attracted players like DW, TL, Sammy Watkins, Nuk Hopkins just to name a few top players.
It seems to me our current offense isn't going to attract the same offensive superstars.

Cade will get better. Our top receivers will heal and be back. And this team will be much better next year. You will see more explosive plays when our top receivers are back. This will attract top recruits. Go Tigers!!!!

This is an interesting point.

How much of the recruiting accolades Dabo, Jeff Scott, etc. get are a result of running a fun offense that players want to be part of?
This isn’t to suggest that they aren’t great recruiters, but it’s interesting how we aren’t getting quite as many elite players these days since our offense has moved away from the fun, up tempo offense toward a slower, less exciting style.

It moved away to a slower, less exciting style because of the lack of talent, not the other way around.
Regarding the notion of coaches vs. system, other schools have switched to more passing oriented offenses, which means we have more competition for top playmakers than in previous years.

Trying to use what was currently in the stables.

He will not sell the dirt raid. He will sell an exciting offense once he gets the pieces of the puzzle

As most here you are reacting instinctively instead of intelligently to recent events. Last year at this time, most here were roasting Wes and calling for his termination and "getting a real DC." The offense is fine and we've witnessed developments all through the season. What we saw on Saturday in Columbia was due to multiple factors from health and injury to USC's defense actually playing well. We had 200+ yards rushing and 27 passing attempts - and there were at least 7 drops by receivers where the ball was delivered right to their numbers. Your knee-jerk reaction does you no credit and is the epitome of poor sportsmanship. Enjoy the win, let developments take their natural course, and see what happens in 2024.

In his last year at TCU, the offense averaged 193 yards per game on the ground and 261 through the air. It is called the dirt attack because the run is established to open up the passing game.
The reason we ran much more than passed is that Cade is not making the right reads on a consistent basis - and we have two studs in the backfield.
