I heard a rumor that Chad Morris would be interested in returning to Clemson. With the departure of Jeff Scott, is there a possibility of this happening?

Actually, he understands the Clemson culture and would be leading candidate to take over Clemson head coach duties if Dabo decides to leaves. Great recruiter and offensive genius.

I think it would be a stretch to think he would replace Dabo. I loved Chad he was a great addition to our offense but he had got us about as far as he could.He definitely got us headed in the right direction.Defense coaches figured out his schemes and when tony and Jeff took over they expanded some.Its really time to expand again

Some fans. Geez. We have the loyalty and graciousness of bedbugs. Morris did a tremendous job for Clemson and Swinney. He installed his up-tempo, spread offense that we use today, giving Swinney exactly what he wanted and his DC objected to, and left after four years -- a perfectly reasonable tenure for an assistant coach with ambitions -- for a HC job. First I heard Scott was going anyplace save some cracked Cowboy rumor, but Swinney would take Morris in a second. One could make a defensible argument that no Morris, no NCs. We are spoiled because few of our assistants have left but get real. If the right job opens, they would all leave. It is called a "career" and we all do it. But relax. Morris will get another HC job.

Chad would never be perfect for Clemson ever!!! He left , he left Eustace HS (TX) after 3 years, he left Elysian Fields HS (TX) after 1 year, he left Bay City HS (TX) after 2 years, he left Stephenville HS (TX) after 3 years, he left Lake Travis HS (TX) after 1 year. Chad then come to the college ranks and joined the Tulsa for 1 season, he joined Dabo at Clemson and made more money that he had ever made in any 5 years of his life, and he jumped ship at Clemson after 3 years for SMU, and he left them after only 2 years as the HC that he desperately wanted to be in the college ranks. He then jumped to Arkansas that was way over his head mainly bc he couldn't wait until he paid his dues in the college ranks and he got fired, and now he is the same as he was at Clemson, the OC for Auburn and making less than a mil as OC at Auburn. I bet he would love to come back to Clemson where he was making 1.3 mil!!! We do not need CM any where around Clemson at any level IMO!!!

end of his tenure here. As soon as he left Scott and Elliot introduced common sense back into the offense with elements of Morris scheme. Morris was too concerned with up-tempo for the sake of up-tempo.But we had martavis bryant who hardly ever got the ball and should've been a stud in college but we threw the ball laterally too much to get him involved deep. Scott and Elliot have been phenomenal. They call a great game. Adapt to utilize the tools we have and not depend on their ###### or call sheet as much.
