I saw that video of the students chanting "Anyone but DABO!" Following Nick Saban is probably going to be a losing proposition for whoever does it anyway. Going into that situation when the fanbase clearly does not want you? Why would Dabo, or anyone else put themselves in that position? You can only get so rich coaching, if Dabo isn't already financially secure by now, a few more million a year ain't gonna make a difference. So, the other factors will play a much bigger role.

And wouldn’t be surprised if another NC or two. But I think Alabama wants to go away from that very mindset. Otherwise why not try to keep Saban. They want someone to dive headfirst into the NIL and transfer portal and I believe unwittingly will sacrifice future program stability for immediate success. I doubt there is even a big interest in Dabo unless it’s the old money. Even they probably want someone who’s willing to bend the rules more.

to Alabama? Does he have a powerful connection in his heart; has it always been his desire to some day return to his alma mater? I have no idea, but my guess is that Dabo "gets" Clemson like few others, and appreciates what makes it special. I suspect that is the case and combined with the prospect of following Saban, which could be impossible, means Dabo ain't going anywhere.

and anytime Dabo's name is mentioned for a coach opening, TNET needs to send someone onto the campus and start this chant.
